8.21.93 - 8.21.08
We had a pretty interesting storm here tonight. It kind of came out of nowhere while I was taking a break from packing. I quickly decided to grab my camera to see if I could grab some actual lightning shots and finally succeeded!

I really wish I didn’t have the screen door right in front of me but if it was you, would you go out in a storm with lightning like that?
Anyway, enjoy the picture. Now it’s back to packing for the move. Once the move is over I’m sure I’ll write another post on that. I know I’ve been a slacker lately but a lot has been going on!
So, needless to say I wasn’t and still am not a happy camper. You can’t have anything nice anymore. People just come and take it away. People are mean, inconsiderate, and just plain screwed up. A few people said well, I can understand because of the economy… blah blah blah. I don’t care about the economy. That doesn’t make it right to break into someones car (in their own freaking driveway none the less) and steal their possessions. People really need to grow up and stop doing this to people! UGH!
The week that I started my list I got promoted at work! YAY! I will consider this goal complete however, I still have until January 27th, 2011 to possibly move up within my company again? You never know. Anyway, the week of 4.28 - 5.2 was my first week at my new position: Manager of Marketing and Compliance! So far I love it. It’s strange because Marketing and Compliance are two totally different things but it keeps me on my feet.
May 1st is officially here! That means I get to start my 101 goals in 1001 days. If you’d like to join me and a few of my friends in doing this, please do. I think it’s a great motivational experience. We’re all looking forward to accomplishing all of those things (serious, silly, and everything in between) that we’ve always wanted to do. Good luck to those doing it with me and I can’t wait to do some of the things on my list!
My list is finally complete. I have 12 more days before I *officially* begin my list. It’s nice knowing I can go into it already having the first goal completed. You can view my list here. I highly recommend others try this. So far 3 of my friends are joining me in my 1001 day journey. I’m hoping that this will help me become a more motivated and goal oriented person. I know some of the things on my list are silly to some but to me, each one has a meaning. They are on the list in no particular order however and I do not have to complete them in order.
Good luck to my friends who have decided to join me on this journey. I hope others will hop on board as well. Let me know if you are so that we can motivate each other to complete all of our goals!
I have seen a goal list on a few sites lately for 101 goals to be completed in 1001 days. I thought that since there are so many things that I want to do in life and just haven’t had the motivation to do some of it, that this would be the perfect thing for me. I have already started to compile a list [well, I have my first and last goal written in so far] and I will start the list [as in starting to complete my goals officially] on May 1st, 2008. My 1001 days finishes on January 27th, 2011.
Since deciding to do this, I have added a section in my side bar that will have information about my goals: my countdown, a link to my list, references for how I found out about this, and also goals finished and goals completed will be there as well.
[EDIT] YAY! Half way done with creating my list! [/EDIT]
I think I may have even gotten my friend Heather to do this with me which is great. I recommend others to join me. If you’d like to join me in starting May 1st, let me know and we can be motivation for each other. I think this is going to be a fun experience and hopefully it will help me to actually do some of the things that I want to do in life.
Well, for those who don’t know, I bowl in a bowling league on Monday nights with my mother-in-law and father-in-law for this poker thing they do. I consider myself pretty decent. My average going into last night (3.31.08) was a 138. I can usually pull off a game higher than a 150-160 at least one of the three games we play in a night. However, this past Monday was the exception. Usually, I’ll bowl pretty bad the first and third game and decent on the second game. Or, I’ll bowl alright the first game, better the second, and even better on the last game. However, it was completely opposite on Monday night.

Yup, that top line… that’s me. That was my first game Monday night. It’s my all time highest score (my previous high game was a 203). A 234 is awesome. If I had only pulled off those two spares I would have gotten even higher.
I ended up with a 537 series that night which allowed me to go from a 138 average to a 142. I’m very pleased about that.
When I told my mom about this she was mocking me saying that when she was in league, it took her 9 years bowling in 2 leagues a week to get her first 200 game and it was a 201 and it only took me 10 weeks to get a 234!! So yeah, I’m pretty excited.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! I love today. I get all excited to wear my Irish sweater my parents bought from Ireland and I got a new really pretty Claddaugh/Trinity necklace to wear.
I just wanted to post a quick picture or 2 of graduation. I have more that I will post soon but this will work for now.
